Dr. Wang went to Harvard for her undergraduate studies graduating Cum Laude with a degree in sociology. She continued her studies at Columbia University receiving a master's degree in International Educational Development and Comparative Education and worked in public education policy and reform in New York City before attending medical school at Stanford University. Dr. Wang attended the University of Colorado at Anschutz for her Psychiatric residency and was Chief Resident in her final year. Prior to becoming an inpatient psychiatrist at Porter Hospital,

Dr. Wang believes in the combination of medication, psychotherapy, and brain stimulation therapies, when indicated, to provide the greatest likelihood of long-term success. She uses an integrative approach and considers all aspects of wellness for her patients. For some patients, medication, TMS or ECT may be essential, for but others, intensive outpatient therapy, substance abuse support, or behavioral interventions may be the most important. She works to meet patients where they are and to support them in achieving their goals.
