Following residency, Dr. Kerns completed a year long Fellowship in Brain Stimulation at the Medical University of South Carolina. She has worked with TMS in a variety of settings - clinical and research, academic and private practice. She has helped to develop several training courses in neuromodulation, is an active member of the Clinical TMS Society for which she serves on the board of directors and as co-chair of the Education Committee. She is also currently on faculty as an Assistant Professor in Brain Stimulation Service Department of Psychiatry at the Medical University of South Carolina. Over the years she has co-authored papers, posters and book chapters, and given numerous lectures on TMS. Her particular interests include the intersection between TMS and peripartum mental health.
