Dr. Gabriel Lugo is a bilingual psychiatrist, fluent in Spanish and English. He is board certified by The American Board of Psychiatrist and Neurology in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry as well.
Dr. Lugo attended the University of Puerto Rico at Rio Piedras, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology. After college, he attended medical school at the Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. Dr. Lugo completed his adult psychiatry residency and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

• American Medical Association (AMA)
• Florida Psychiatric Society (FPS)
Dr. Lugo is experienced in a wide variety of settings and populations. He has successfully treated child, adolescents and adults in the private and community mental health sector. He also has extensive experience with inpatient, day treatment, Community Action Treatment (CAT) and outpatient setting as well. He stays up-to-date in the field by continuously working and supervising psychiatry residents and fellows as an Assistant Professor of Ponce Health Sciences University.
He is a strong believer that every treatment should be individualized and tailored to each child’s need and that treatment success is an achievable goal.
