John M. Cruz, M.D. is a board certified child, adolescent and adult psychiatrist. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Dartmouth College, his post-baccalaureate pre-medical certificate from Columbia University, his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, and completed his adult psychiatry training from The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and his child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship from The Johns Hopkins Hospital where he served as chief resident. Dr. Cruz sees children, adolescents, and adults. He treats a variety of psychiatric disorders that include: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, disruptive and impulse-control disorders, bipolar disorders, and psychotic disorders.
Dr. Cruz is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Northern California Psychiatric Society, and the Northern California Regional Organization of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Cruz became interested in TMS because, “TMS has been shown through FDA randomized controlled trials to be an extremely effective, non-invasive treatment with no systemic side effects for treating people with medication resistant depression.”
