Dr. Stephen Perret is a child and adult psychiatrist. He trained at Mount Sinai Medical Center and the Albert Einstein-Long Island Jewish Medical Center Psychiatry program. He subsequently completed his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training at the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ fellowship program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is the sitting president of the Board of Trustees of the Greater Long Island Psychiatric Society (GLIPS) for 2018-2020. He works as a consultant for many school districts on Long Island, and has worked in the Nassau BOCES system and in private practice since 2008. He believes in an ecletic approach to psychiatry, emphasizing the mind-body connection and incorporating therapy, nutrition, exercise, medication, and complementary approaches, including TMS to address mental health comprehensively.
