PsychiatristDr. R. Ahmad is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She completed her training in General Psychiatry at Temple University and went on to become Chief Resident in the Department of Psychiatry during her time there. She is now working at her private practice in the Roswell, Alpharetta Area. She enjoys treating adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. She has experience in academic psychiatry and her academic interests include cultural and gender differences affecting responses to psychotherapy. She enjoys speaking to various organizations about her interests in psychiatry. Dr. Ahmad’s treatment approach includes combining therapy and small doses of medication to achieve the best possible result for her patients. She stays up to date on the latest research in psychiatry and uses the most current research to treat adult Major Depressive Disorder, ADHD and Bipolar Disorder.

PsychiatristAs the medical director of Psych Atlanta, with locations in Marietta and Roswell, Georgia, Michael D. Banov, MD, provides comprehensive outpatient psychiatric care for adult patients. Dr. Banov is triple-board certified in adult, adolescent, and addiction psychiatry as well as a certified clinical research investigator. Dr. Banov completed his Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine at the Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta. Dr. Banov served his internal medicine internship at University Hospital in Boston and his psychiatry residency at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Banov has conducted over 150 clinical research studies in all aspects of psychiatry, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). He has written over 25 scientific papers and articles. Dr. Banov shares his experience and knowledge as an assistant clinical professor at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Dr. Banov uses this first-hand knowledge of emerging research, treatments, and best practices to provide the most effective care to his patients. His goal is to help patients recover from mental health conditions and develop the skills and strategies they need to lead an active and fulfilling life.
